The Czech Philharmonic and Maestro Zsolt Hamar embark on their first tour of the United States including 20 cities. Based in Prague, the Czech Philharmonic has a rich history of leadership, including conductors Antonin Dvorak, Gustav Mahler, Herbert Von Karajan, Bela Bartok, and Simon Rattle. Notable soloists who have performed with the orchestra include Daniil Trifonov, Hilary Hahn, Ray Chen, Emanuel Ax, Katia and Marielle Labeque, and Peter Serkin.

The Aluminum Show brings to life industrial materials telling the interactive story of an astronaut on a mission in a futuristic metallic world ruled by technology. This Israeli company of dancers and actors creates a tour de force of movement, visual theater, and humor; and since its Jerusalem debut in 2003, the show has developed a following of thousands across the globe.

The American Spiritual Ensemble

The American Spiritual Ensemble, a collection of finely trained classical singers, is dedicated to keeping the American Negro spiritual alive. Founded by Dr. Everett McCorvey, a Montgomery native and University of Alabama graduate, the ASE is known for its dynamic repertoire, ranging from spirituals to classical, jazz, and Broadway, while highlighting the Black experience. In their solo careers, the singers have performed at the Metropolitan Opera, New York City Opera, Houston Grand Opera, the Kennedy Center, and Radio City Music Hall.

Mandy Barnett, one of Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry musical treasures, has a style and voice rooted in the timeless sounds of classic country and pop. She pays tribute to Patsy Cline in this concert celebrating the most popular female country singer in recording history, whose hit “Crazy,” written by Willie Nelson, became the #1 jukebox hit of all time, and whose tragically brief career has inspired singers like k.d. lang, Loretta Lynn, Linda Ronstadt, Trisha Yearwood, and Wynonna Judd.

Sean Dietrich is a columnist, novelist, stand-up storyteller, and multi-instrumentalist known for his commentary on life in the American South in the tradition of Will Rogers, Mark Twain, and Lewis Grizzard. He is joined onstage by Bobby Horton, musician and producer for nineteen Ken Burns PBS films, and Three on a String, with their unique musical blend of old standards, country, classical, bluegrass, and folk.
